Allan Twynam is a Reservoir Fluids and Drilling Fluids Specialist with over 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He began his career as a Mud Logging Engineer with Gearhart Owen on the North Sea before joining BW Mud as a Field Mud Engineer. In 1990 he moved to BP, where he spent 27 years in a series of senior technical roles at Sunbury, including Team Leader of the Drilling Fluids Laboratories, Senior Drilling Engineer – Fluids in Venezuela, Senior Fluids Specialist in Completions Engineering, Drilling Fluids Laboratory Manager, and ultimately Senior Advisor – Fluids and Formation Damage. Following his BP career, he worked as an independent Reservoir Fluids Consultant with THREE60 Energy Norway, and he has recently joined AI Fluids Ltd as Technical Advisor. Allan holds a BSc in Geology from Cardiff University and is a published SPE author.
